About Us
In 1961, Pymatuning Valley School District was formed by combining students from Andover, Cherry Valley, New Lyme, Richmond, Wayne and Williamsfield. The Pymatuning Valley School District covers approximately 150 square miles, making it one of the largest districts in the state of Ohio in terms of square mileage.
On May 24, 2010 the Pymatuning Valley Board of Education approved the consolidation of Pierpont and Pymatuning Schools effective July 1, 2010. Pymatuning Valley Schools welcomed Pierpont school students to our district in August, 2010, increasing student enrollment and also increasing the square mileage of the district.
The school district currently operates a preschool through fourth grade building, a fifth grade through eighth grade building, and a ninth through twelfth grade building. All three facilities are on a campus setting on U.S. Route 6 in Andover, Ohio.
